About Me
Hi, I'm Ulla.
I am the person behind ULLA Jewelry. I started making jewelry in 2009, while living in China (where materials were in abundant supply). What started off as just a small hobby for myself, became something more. I began testing out new techniques and color combinations, and found that my family and friends were eagerly waiting to see what I had created. My friends would show their friends and I started getting requests from all over! In 2022 I finally decided I wanted to set up my own online store for anyone who was interested in purchasing my jewelry. I took my time with preparation, making sure that I was fully ready for my February 2024 launch!
Because I am a one-woman-band, and I want to keep creativity and enjoyment in what I do, I have decided to do periodic launches of my most current creations. I am planning to have four launches per year, one for each season. Each of these launches will have a variety of unique, hand-made styles, colors and techniques, so hopefully there is something interesting for everyone!
For now, I have decided to focus my efforts on earrings and bracelets. The earring styles are named after the people in my life, while the bracelets are named after cities around the world that have had an impact on me. I also have my “One-of-a-Kinds”, which are earrings or bracelets I have decided to create only one variation of. These are techniques I attempted that were successful, but I, in the end, decided to not pursue further.
I have experimented with various materials and techniques over the years and have found what works best for me. Nowadays, my go-to materials are semi precious stones, Japanese Miyuki beads and Czech beads. All metals are nickel free and I mainly use stainless steel. ULLA Jewelry’s two main priorities are quality and sustainability. Therefore, I make a point to keep up to date with any developments in sustainability (whilst maintaining high-quality) for my jewelry. The packaging I use is made of recycled materials. The jewelry industry is constantly changing, with new techniques and materials, and my designs will too!
While I don’t take any requests at the moment, I am always open to hearing your opinions, ideas and suggestions! If you have any styles, color schemes, techniques you wish to share with me, please e-mail me at ullajewelryCO@gmail.com and I will look into them!
